Cost Plus World Market beaded bracelet (my fave)
Hope you had a great weekend. Here’s another floral look courtesy of my local thrift stores. I built a look around this floral skirt I got for $2 (ridiculous, right?). If you guys aren’t already avid thrifters, I encourage you guys to venture out and rummage through some of your local ones. There are a lot of great, unique finds to be had. I wouldn’t have found this floral skirt if I hadn’t just passed through, so it’s worth a shot. Who knows what treasures you will find… What has been your favorite, latest thrifted find?
What do we have again–another piece from Forever 21’s BOGO sale! This is one of the additional items I got in addition to the sweater you saw in the previous post (I got 6 items in total–3 paid for and 3 for free). I am such a sucker for these kinds of sales. Forever 21, why must you act as a deathtrap for my wallet time and time again? There are just too many irresistible finds at the best price points around.
I loved this dress because it was so chic–the high-neck brought me back to another era (Can somebody help me classify the time period for the silhouette of this dress?). Anyways, I thought it had a cool, classic, old-time feel to it, but the floral print gave it a playful kick. Call it an auntie/grandma dress or a glorified muumuu, but I like it.
I can see myself rocking this at a Hawaiian luau or any summery event. It’s bright, it’s playful, it’s a bit loud–since it’s summer, why not go all out and let your brightest dresses catch some of that summer sun?
I am so into printed shorts right now, especially these white + blue ones from Joe Fresh in NY. I thought they went well with a white top–it’s a clean, classic look. I threw the red cardi/blazer over it to give it more pop. Classic American cool with a preppy feel.
Printed shorts: Joe Fresh
Red Cardigan/Blazer: semantiks from Plato’s closet
White tank top: Forever 21 (yes, I wear too much Forever 21…I should really attempt to wean myself off it)
Bag: thrifted Dooney & Bourke
Bracelet: Banana Republic
Cap-Toe Flats: Tahari
